As part of the Kinetix 5700 servo system, this drive enables synchronized control of two servo motors while reducing panel space and wiring complexity.
The 2198-D032-ERS3 delivers 4.5 kW of continuous output power at 240 V and up to 8.9 kW at 480 V, making it ideal for medium-power motion applications. It supports a continuous RMS output current of 13 A and 18.3 A peak (0-pk), allowing fast acceleration and deceleration with stable torque delivery.
For responsive and accurate motion performance, the drive features a 400 Hz velocity loop bandwidth, 1000 Hz current loop bandwidth, and a 4 kHz PWM frequency. Integrated functional safety—including Safe Torque Off (STO) and Timed Safe Stop 1 (SS1)—helps protect personnel while minimizing the need for external safety hardware.
